Gameplay

In Marble Blast Gold you control a marble that rolls around a space. The game consists of a series of levels, in which you must use your marble to collect all the gems and make it to the level exit. The levels vary wildly, with some being pure speed challenges and others being intense platforming. Some levels also have a qualification time, which you must complete the level within in order to progress.

Reception

Marble Blast Gold was loved by reviewers but remained mostly underground and out of the mainstream. The game recieved a 9/10 on Gamersinfo.

Legacy

Marble Blast Gold was well loved by it's community for a very long time to come. Gold and it's counterpart Ultra spawned countless mods, custom levels, and whole communities dedicated to it. Marble Blast Gold is likely the most popular non-monkey ball rolling ball game of all time. Later in 2018, some of the original Gold developers would come back to create Marble It Up! and its counterpart Marble It Up! Ultra.
